Whites Grounds Skate Space

London, uk

Following an in depth consultation process with local schools which culminated in an event at the arch, Whites Grounds Skate space is now open to the public. It is the first major facility in Southwark and was voted runner-up in the RIBA Urban Space by Design Awards.

"For Dive Architects, Whites Grounds has denoted an important step towards the really large commissions, but the success story in this tale is not about the careers of the architects Ia Hjärre and Andy Nettleton, but about the way in which the local population were encouraged to express their own needs and desires and were able to see them realised in a functional and innovative structure." –Forum Aid Magazine
