Upplands Väsby

Stockholm, Sweden

We were invited by Upplands Väsby council to look at possible solutions for providing new housing on a site adjacent to Infra City which is located roughly half way between Stockholm City and Arlanda airport. The site is complex due to its terrain and that it is a cross over from the large scale buildings on the Infra City site with private housing and forrest on the other side.

Our proposal sought to deal with these changes in scale and usage by creating a modulated housing proposal incorporating live work units, private and semi private outdoor spaces and also retaining rights of way across the site allowing connections to the forrest and nature.

These proposals form part of a sketch design as part of a feasibility study for the site.
